Hi Lee, Generally, you can purchase them in box sizes to fit your needs, especially if you go to Home Depot, or Lowes.
I think Dan purchased the size box he did because he's going to be needing a ton of them to finish off the deck, so, to answer your question, you can purchase what ever your needs desire. Oh for the days when you could purchase individual screws from a bin, weighing them as you went along, and purchased only what you needed. Any of those local hardware stores still around?
