My neighbor just showed me a trick for lowering the water level quickly. Like every above ground pool we have the long handled vaccum and ours has 33 feet of hose. so we just lifted the vaccum end out of the pool and moved it away from the pool, then put the end of the hose with the big round disc against the spot where the water blows into the pool . It did not take long and we took the water level down almost 3 inches. I'm thinking that is a big waste of a couple thousand gallons of water but the pool was running over at the skimmer and better to spread the extra water out on the yard then all right beside the pool. .almost the end of the pool season and still no Mermaids.
