I read a very nice article about adding ceramic power to paint. It will not change the texture or anything. What it does do is help turn the paint into a heat reflector for indoor or outdoor usage as an insulation. The heat is radiated back into the structure or away from the structure. It is one of the many new things that have been tried along with color. Dark colors have always been used for passive radiant heat for collecting the heat from the sun into floors, as have light colors to reject heat from the sun. ................bob
