Lenny, As one who myself has ventured up on my roof for various sound reasons all I can say is, KUDOS to you!
I have to wonder if sighted folks really think that we, while on a roof as blind guys, are stupid and will thoughtlessly take steps that will send us plummeting to the ground and perhaps our graves! One of my pet peeves is the notion that someone with normal vision will come and "help you do that." Right, like anybody with sight can really help a blind person while that blind handy man does the job.
