Dear List Members:
I have a good friend, Teri, who solved a problem for me which you can
also use. I am a messy eater, as sauces and other drops of food seem to
make their way to the front of my shirts, and there is usually a stern
lecture to follow from the lovely lady who does my clothes.
Teri's solution was to take a nice heavy cloth napkin and put a button
whole in one corner. Placing the napkin on the front of my shirt with the
button whole at the top and placed around a button on the chest, gives quite
a lot of protection to the shirt. Chunking the napkin in the wash brings
less lectures from my lovely lady and that makes yours truly a good deal
happier. Teri does not have a patent on this adaptation, and I am sure that
she would be pleased to see her idea spread.
When the door opens and a gust of wind blows through the eatery, the
napkin stays in place.
Yours Truly,
Clifford Wilson.
