Interesting, I just received this from Grizzly technical support. The person to whom I spoke to that told me that the belts were the same, was in customer service.
Dear Leonard, Thank you for your email dated November 4, 2007. Thank you for contacting us with your question. The G3640 Power Twist V-Belt has been discontinued. This means that once we are out of stock, we can no longer obtain the item from the factory. However, we do currently have this item in stock. The H9815 Power Twist V-Belt is replacing the G3640 Power Twist V-Belt. This replacement is made in a different factory to similar quality. Therefore it has not been discontinued.
