Ther'll be lots of folks here to comment, but
I know of no single source or catalog that specializes in automechanics
adaptive tools.

The "Standard" catalogs LS&S group, 
independant living aids,
maxiaids
may have some stuff.

A set of sterett micrometers and a couple handy rulers re:
click rule and rotorule
are available from the NFB (National federation of the blind)
http://www.nfb.org
materials center. 
They're good tools but expensive.

Some Mitutoyo tools, calipers etc. have serial ports for printers
which can be read by some talking computers like braille-n-speaks etc.

We've been looking into various inexpensive scan tools whose software
may or may not be accessible to a talking computer, no results
yet.

It's kind of a hodge podge let's see what other folks can add.
