hi larry yes it exists but it sucks.
it has a 6 inch solid extention on there marked in eighth inch marks 
and the tape is marked every 6 inches.
with braille numbers for the feet.
on the tape end of the tab is a little notch where you are soposed to 
put the mark at the foot or 6 inch mark then you read the tab to see 
what the complete reading is like 1 foot 3 and 5 eights.
the problem is the notch is to big and you can get about a half an 
inch difference in tape movement
if you don't get the mark put in the same place nothing will match.
