Hi I had the same problem with mine so I sent it back for repair great I
thought but the stupid idiots in cobolt just threw it in a jiffy bag and it got
crusshed in the post and is now completely dead tell them to pack it properly
when they rreturn it as this is not the first tine I have had stuff busted on
arrival from cobolt its very annoying as they charge enough for the stuff so
why not pack it properly. Andrew

  Hello!

I am very undecided on what to do about my talking tape measure. I was going
to send it in and it started working properly again. Then it started reading
totally inconsistent numbers, so I was going to send it in again. This has
happened about three times. Is this a defect in my tape measure, or is it a
natural defect for this talking measure? Has this problem been corrected? I am
afraid it will be working when you receive it.

I have changed the battery, turn it off to reboot its computer, but it makes
no difference .

If I send it in, is the address below the correct one where to send it?

  Dear Loren

Our mailing address is as follows:
  Cobolt Systems Ltd
  The Old Mill House
  Mill Road
  Reedham
  Norwich
  Norfolk
  NR13 3TL
  ENGLAND

As you live abroad and have to pay for your postage to us there is not
  usually a charge for repair.
The cost of a new one would be £41.95 and £2.50 for insurance .

  With Regards
  Nikky
