Sounds like a great idea. Trouble is, as you get closer to the 35 pound
pressure it will take for ever to reach the final pressure. Kind of like
messing with air when the compressor is turned off.

Subject: [BlindHandyMan] filling tires - does it work?/talking tire gage

I just thought of something that I believe will work, will test it in the
next week or so. If I use my talking gauge to set the output pressure from
my compressor to 35 psi I would think that I could just then fill the tires
and when the pressure is equalized it will automatically stop. If it works
as expected it will be great to check tire pressure in the bad weather. Not
fumbling with gauges and air hoses. The settings will be done in the warm
  basement.

It take very little time to get a pressure reading. Of course there is some
escaping air as you put the gage on the stem so I make sure it is not
leaking before I take a actual reading. Taking it off too quick or while
air is leaking results in a incorrect low reading.

  Hi,
Has anyone bought a talking tire gage?
  If so, do they work?
I often wonder if the non talking ones work.
I never knew exactly how long to hold them on the stem.
I figure it's a quick burst of air, and off right?
the blind mice mart sight offers them and as with all cool blind teque
adaptive stuff, I really would like for it to work!
And I really want one, but... Ya know.

  Matt
