Larry Would that have been the 1.9 4 cilender? I did a timing belt and some other stuff on one of them. That was real fun since I had never done one of them and did not have a book or even some one to tel me how to do it. I did get it It took a while but I did get it running.

I always got a kick out of the commercials they ran after their bout with bankruptcy. "Dodge, the best built American car you can buy." Most of their engines were made by Mitsubishi... What a Mickey Mouse set up to change the timing belt that wore out around 70,000 miles. But it paid the bills for a long time so complaining was just a part of the job... ----- Original Message ----- From: robert moore To: [email protected] <mailto:blindhandyman%40yahoogroups.com> Sent: Friday, November 30, 2007 3:12 AM Subject: RE: [BlindHandyMan] then and now I almost hate to admit how much I know about that little piece of crap known as the Dodge spirit and the acclaim but I had bumped my head many years ago and I ended up owning one of each. Well now my head is better and I stay away from them. Well for any one that likes them cars I will not criticize. You can drive what you like and can afford and what works for you. Any way to make a short story long. The Spirit as far as I know only came with the 2.5 4 cilender, at least that was the most commen. Not a durable engine. You are lucky to get 200k but they would get you in and out of traffic ok. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] <mailto:blindhandyman%40yahoogroups.com> [mailto: [email protected] <mailto:blindhandyman%40yahoogroups.com> ]On Behalf Of Lee A. I would never buy one because of their size as I am a taller person but it is a snappy little engine. not sure what it is. it is better known at that dealership as a" beater car" does the job but again I would not want to own one.
