Heaters are a pretty big power draw.  Not sure how long a couple of car 
batteries could really supply any useful amount of heat.  A hair dryer is 
like 1200 Watts.  A car bat is 12 volts so it would have to produce 100 
amps to equal the heat output of a hair dryer.  I don't think a car batt 
could produce a hundred amps for very long.
