Thanks, This drill sells for $90. I am very concerned with the weight. Most 18V that I saw were too heavy for me. I think that I mentioned before that about 11 years ago I had some neck surgery with complications and was paralyzed from the neck down for a few months. I do not have a lot of strength in my arms and hands so weight is a big concern. Do you know what the one that you have weighs? The skill is a little over 2 pounds. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bob Kennedy" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, December 12, 2007 10:57 PM Subject: Re: [BlindHandyMan] skil drill
I don't know what that one runs, but I've never seen one as strong as the Makita I have. That includes an 18 volt Dewalt. If you're interested, go to www.tylertool.com and click on the misspelled link for reconditioned tools. You can find a Makita with the same warranty as a new drill, 2 batteries and a case for about $120. Shipping is a flat rate of $6.95 and they are great to work with. ----- Original Message ----- From: Lenny McHugh To: Handyman-Blind Sent: Wednesday, December 12, 2007 9:59 PM Subject: [BlindHandyMan] skil drill Does anyone on list own this drill? If so what are your thoughts? I have been thinking about adding it to my Christmas list.
