I don't know. I have a 7v that no longer holds a charge. For anything big I 
used corded.
My big concern is the weight of the unit. They have a lighter 14.4 but it 
only accepts hex bits, don't want to go that route.

Just getting in on this thread, so I apologize if this question has been
asked already, but is 14.4 volts really enough?

I can't help but think of the last 14.4 volt drill I had, and the power
wasn't all that great, then I bought a 18 volt drill, and don't even really
want to look back at what I couldn't do with the 14 volt model.

Suffice it to say, I found that the 14.4 model didn't have much power for
the heavier work I needed done, and this was when I could see.
