I don't know. I have a 7v that no longer holds a charge. For anything big I used corded. My big concern is the weight of the unit. They have a lighter 14.4 but it only accepts hex bits, don't want to go that route. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Victor Gouveia" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, December 13, 2007 12:42 PM Subject: Re: [BlindHandyMan] skil drill
Hi Lenny, Just getting in on this thread, so I apologize if this question has been asked already, but is 14.4 volts really enough? I can't help but think of the last 14.4 volt drill I had, and the power wasn't all that great, then I bought a 18 volt drill, and don't even really want to look back at what I couldn't do with the 14 volt model. Suffice it to say, I found that the 14.4 model didn't have much power for the heavier work I needed done, and this was when I could see.
