There is a machine, they start around 500 and go up. You can cut pipe with an abrasive bit and a chop saw. I bought an 8 inch miter saw and that is all I use it for. I don't want the metal on my good miter saws. It does take some time and will wear out a blade fairly quickly. I build golf clubs and that is the majority of my cutting with the 8 inch saw. You'll get a square cut but on galvanized pipe it takes a good while as I said... You can do a search for pipe threader, or electric vise and find all kinds of machines. ----- Original Message ----- From: Shane Hecker To: [email protected] Sent: Sunday, December 30, 2007 11:02 PM Subject: [BlindHandyMan] pipes
I want to be able to thred and cut pipes for water or gas. I know you can get a cutter, but is there a machine (in a decent price range) that will both cut and thred the pipe? I'd prefer something you do by hand, but if there is a powered unit at a decent price, I'd consider it. Thanks. Shane [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
