My question is one I had from my cousins who have a decent TV antenna and
that is, what can they do to their TV, is there a gadget to buy to make
their TV work or must they buy a new one? :) I told them it is likely a
gadget, but let me know what you all think.

They have digital tuners for PC's and almost everything else now. As for the
size they make large LCD TV's and Large plasma TV's. As for the picture goes
unless you have a trained eye or 20 20 or better vision to tell the
difference.

I suppose an alternative would be to download a show and watch it on our
computer. I'm one of those who doesn't have that newfangled TV either. Even
David Letterman joked that he didn't also. I can't see that they will
suddenly drop in price once the regular signal goes blank.

If anything I would think that the price would go up because the store could
take advantage of the fact that we are forced to buy that new set. I looked
at them in the store, and for the life of me I can't see any sense of it.
The picture in the store didn't look any better than mine, and it was harder
to look at because the screen was so squatty, LOL.

It seems like a computer program could easily be made to do the conversion
of analog to digital. All one would need in addition to that would be a
tuner. I know that they have analog tuners now for computers. Seems like
they could make a digital one as well. Probably the government will/have
made a law against this though, just like it's against the law to buy
medicine in Canada and bring it over the border.
