Off the top of my head there isn't much involved with maintenance of a hot 
water system.  Every other year, or every year depending on how obsessive 
you might be, you should have a cleaning done, vacuum out the flew and 
heat exchanger.  Other than that, get yourself a bleeder key, so that you 
can bleed out the radiators.  Sometimes air gets trapped in the radiator 
and they won't get completely hot.  You just bleed off the air until water 
starts shooting out, do this with the furnace running.
