Subject: [BlindHandyMan] Leveling a basement floor.

Victor,

Yes, I assume I could put a self-leveling concrete mix to level the floor,
but two issues with that. I would then not have a sloped floor which is
important on the off chance the basement floods, which did happen once due
to the main drain line getting blocked during a rain storm. Yes, our
gutters are tied into the drain system.

Secondly, and more importantly, It would take a crapload of concrete to do
this. The basement floor is about 14 inches lower at the center than on
the edges. With the trouble of getting a truck anywhere near the house,
it would be a bit of an issue getting all the concrete up all the stairs
and down to the basement.
