Aloha all, Weighing it would work if you have a small enough tank. Our tank is one of those 120 gallon stationary tanks. There is a gauge on ours that I usually ask someone to check occasionally, but another way is to pour hot water over the tank. The part of the tank that still contains propane will remain cold to the touch. Betsy
