Rob: I have a little gadget that's supposed to alert you when your propane passes a certain level. This is a little battery-powered thing with a magnet on it. You're supposed to place it near the bottom of your tank, and it's supposed to sound off when the propane level goes below where it's located. It's intended for use with smaller tanks, but I guess in theory anyway, it could work with a large one too.
I got this thing as a gift, and frankly have never used it. If you want Rob, let me know and I'll see if I can find a manufacturer for you. Another idea I have is that there is probably a difference in the tone emitted where there is and is not propane present in a tank. Then by your usage over time you could know when it is getting time to refill. What do you think. We have to adapt what is available to suit our needs.
