Yesterday I replaced the refill valve and flapper in my toilet. When I attempted to reconnect the supply line (copper) there was not enough thread exposed on the refill valve to allow for a connection under the tank. I went and bought a new 9-inch flexible supply line which connected fine. However, there is a significant water leak in the supply line at the tank when I turn the water on. My initial thought was that there needs to be a washer on the end of the supply line which connects to the tank. However, there seems to be one there already. Everything was hand tightened as suggested (I'm trying to be mindful of the cautions about overtightening and cracking the tank.) Any thoughts.
