I had this problem with my outside flood bulb and pulled the contact in the bottom of the socket out a bit and that did the trick

They're running a promotion and have them on sale. The price is $5 for 4 60 Watt CFL bulbs. In two or three of the fixtures in which I tried to use the bulbs, I found the socket is a little too deep for the bulb. The bulbs don't make contact at the bottom of the socket even though they're screwed in all the way. Does anyone know of any work-arounds for this problem. I think maybe a small piece of aluminum foil between the bulb and the bottom of the socket might do the trick. Any thoughts? Thanks.
