It's ok... I have had mine since last October and I don't really have any complaints. A couple of things you might want to consider: 1. It is a real battery hog.
2. You need to treat it more like an electronic device than a $20 Stanley or $6 Wall mart tape. 3. If it matters, metric measurement is the default. You need to hold down the top button nearest the running end of the tape until it says "imperial" 4. Don't turn it on with the tape protruding from the case. This really pisses it off and it keeps repeating "tape is not in the case."
