Lenny, I have a couple of powered USB hubs connected to my laptop, and they
work really well. Unfortunately I don't remember what brand they are, and I
don't have a pair of eyes around to tell me.

Shortly I will need to add some U s b ports to this computer. I just had to 
replace the ps2 keyboard and purchased the last one in stock. Apparently, 
only u s b and wireless keyboards and mice are now being manufactured. Is 
there an advantage for an internal  card over the hub in addition to the 
obvious no extra wires?
