  so far as I know the only advantage of an internal card is that
  each port on that card is capable of delivering full specified power to
  any device connected to that port.
  If you get a non powered hub, the power from the port to which
  the hub is connected must be devided between the devices hooked
  to the hub.

  If you get a powered hub, one with an external "wall wart" type power
  supply,
  then that problem is lessened, but you have another wall wart to find a
slot
  for in your probably allready crowded power strips, and more wires.

  I'd get a card unless my computer were too full for one.
