I remember seeing that one for the versapoint.
Like everything they did it was too "designed' and too expensive.

I'd build a plywood box having each dimention about 4 inches or so larger
than the similar dimention required for the embosser. I'd line it with
styrofoam rather than foam rubber, as I'd bet its a better
sound insulator and it won't deteriorate into goo as foam rubber
often can.

choice of lid style and position depends on the embosser.

I'd install a small exhaust fan in a back corner, leaving a gap in the
insulation to allow air exit, and maybe some holes in the sides for inflow.

Of course you need holes for cables, I might go for a simple hinged door with
slots that meet an edge of the door so you can open the door
and the cables come out the slots. This would allow removal of cables and
connectors without making the holes large enough for the connnectors.

And, of course a narow slit for paper feed unless you want to make enough
room inside for a stack of paper.

some kind of arrangement to keep the lid up is manditory unless it can flop
clear back out of the way.

You could have a bottom with insulation and a sub floor, not sure how
much more sound reduction that'd give you, depends on what it's all resting on.

You've probably thunk of all these ideas anyhow.
