Hey! If I knew of a fellow blind dude who had the tools, knowhow and time to
make a cane comparable to the commercially-made ones and for a comparable
price, sher, I'd buy it. Think about it: what resources would it take for you
to fabricate a cane that you'd feel safe in using, given the kind of punishment
required for your use.

Subject: [BlindHandyMan] making a useable white cane?

Hi, has anyone put any effort into a workable solution for making your own
folding or other type of useable white cane?
Crosses my mind every time I am about down to a mismatched bunch of broken
ones and I have to buy another, yet still, the cane distributors have to make a
living too I guess.
