Hi Clifford

It is a caravan which we tow behind our 4 wheel drive, when the beds are
pulled out it is 21 feet long.

It has all the modern conveniences in it and is very comfortable to spend
our holidays in.

We are not going away until November until the weather warms up again, but
with the things I have done we should be better prepared this time.

Regards

Ray

Dear Ray:
I am not sure I understand, but is the Caravan a travel trailer? In the U.
S., a Caravan usually refers to a minivan produced by Chrysler Corp. While
there are some minivans which are equipped with fold-out tents and or
slide-out sections, to give more sleeping room, I did not think that you
were describing one of those units.
In all events, it sounds as though you are ready to hit the road for your
favorite camping locations. Our home is located near a number of camp sites,
both in the mountains and on some of the larger lakes in the area

It sounds as though you have tackled a rather complex set of repairs, so go
forth and enjoy the fruit of your labor.

Yours Truly,

Clifford Wilson.

Hi All

We have what is called a expander caravan which has two double beds which
pull out at each end and the roof winds up via a winch mechanism .

I have made a mounting bracket for the extendable Television Arial which has
been drilled through the sub frame of the van and through the 4

inch channel , there are two clamps which when tightened should hole the
areal secure.

Last year we found we needed an awning over the front entrance so we got one
made with lots of eyelets along both sides and along the front so I have
just finished putting eyelets which match the eyelets in the awning in
tarpaulins we bought to close in the sides.

Then I put in special hooks which when hammered together go through the
eyelets so it can b quickly hooked up.

I changed the winding controller which winds up the dome in the roof
because the winding control was stripped.

This involved removing the screen over the hole inside the van and then
removing the winder and replacing it with a new winder.

While I was at it I replaced the seal around the hole so it should be water
proof.

I also made a swing out arm with a water tap on it so it could swing out
from the draw bar of the van and out clear of the bed so if we want water at
the front of the van we now have a tap there.

It has a support arm under Neath so if we need to hang a bucket on the tap
it will support the weight.

I also have just finished making a trolley with wheels on it, for use under
our extra fridge which we are taking this year.
