Stack a few bags of cement on the sidewalk just before the stairs begin to ascend, sit down on top of them, and start crying. Somebody's bound to come along and offer to help.

The word from Lowes is that their delivery people won't do it. They will drop it off at the bottom of the steps but that's as far as they will go.
