That's the basic of powe rtool use, no jewelry on hands or wrists or arms, no long sleeves, (except for welding and the like of course) no loose clothing.
I 'saw" a kid in a high school machine shop get his sweater caught in the gear driven feed of a big lathe. Before he knew what was happening, he was down on his knees with his head up against the machine and getting sucked into the gears. Luckilly our teacher got to the cut off just in time or he'd have had a broken kneck. Now ask me how recently I've had my wedding ring off? <GRIN> but jewelry is a really bad idea when using power.
