My holes ranged from 33 inches deep to 43 inches deep. Using a post hole digger isn't bad if broken up with the breaker bar. Two of my holes had to go thru concrete from the old foundation of my shanty. I used my Milwaukee rotary hammers to do the trick with my 18 inch bits. Turning the rotary off and just doing hammer to break it up. My 1 and 1/4 inch hammer drill was the first tool purchased made by Milwaukee. It was the reason that all my tools after that were also made by Milwaukee.
