Ray that first hammer drill I used 22 years and traded it in plus another 100 bucks and got a 1 and 1/2 inch hammer drill by them. The reason I went larger was to use concrete core bits up to 6 inches. The largest I have is a 5 inch and is the largest I have ever required in my work. Large bits run over a hundred bucks a piece. My cheapest bit cost around 80 dollars, but have all served me well. ...............bob
