Ah well first yes, a truck-mounted unit will surely clean carpets like  
no ones business, I can swear to this. I don't know much about the  
commercial or residential versions of the Electrolux machines. I do  
know they are fairly expensive, but I've heard they do a good job.  
I've got 3 Shepherds and they do shed a lot, especially when they  
wrestle about.
