The Guardsman sounds like something a car salesman would push for 10 times more than it's worth (like the undercoating on a new car). Scotch makes a spray that you can apply yourself on any upholstered furniture and it costs lots less. However, you do have to apply it yourself, but because it's a spray, it is very simple. You can buy this at most grocery stores, hardware stores, Lowes, Home Depot, etc.

Then she noticed that the seats on the dining room chairs are a little stained from spills. So I now have some more work she ordered upholstery fabric that should be here in ten days. At least everything was on sale. I thought woodworking was expensive, the fabric was $40 a yard and I need two yards. Glad it was on sale until the end of the month for 50% off. Where the furniture is coming from for an additional$100 they can treat it with Guardsman a stain resistant product with a ten year guarantee.
