I must have been buying the cheap stuff, cuase I can't lift no ton and a 
half like you big guys.
My finest speakers (of a 3 way, non diapolito design) were 1-1/8 inch hdf; 
and they weigh enough to make me cough. 48x18x10 with internal bracing.
