I've noticed that when most people see me walking with the cane, they tend to recognize it for what it is. Often, they don't recognize or understand the cane's significance when they find me standing with it.
However, there's no excuse for the way some of you were treated when the person knew exactly what the cane represented. I try to be understanding, but there have been many times when I visualized my cane being used as a suppository. <smile> Gary in TX
