I really think it is hardware. Been using the same configuration for about 6 years and had the problem 3 times in the last 8 or 9 months. It is definitely hardware the last time it happened I just touched the back of the computer case and jaws started talking. Where I am at a loss is why only jaws stops talking and music plays ok and I only have two speakers. If it is a mother board problem time to look for a new machine, If just the sound card part I could add a pci sound card and disable the on board one. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dan Rossi" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, December 12, 2008 11:01 AM Subject: Re: [BlindHandyMan] sound card problem
Sounds like a configuration issue. Maybe the Blind Computing list would be a better place to ask. -- Blue skies. Dan Rossi Carnegie Mellon University.
