It used to be that furnaces were installed that had quite a bit more capacity than was actually needed. In these days of seeking greater efficiency a furnace will be sized to more closely match the size of the space to be heated. When the temperature went down to zero this week with high winds, our furnace ran all day. But this is it's most efficient mode. Blessings, Tom
