Dale, I keep the fan running continuously at times in the summer with AC but I find in the winter the air seems cooler in the house with the fan running all the time. Do you find the same?

As someone else already said, the fan may run continuously with the fire coming on and off until the house reaches the desired temperature. If the furnace is under sized or the home inadequately insulated or particularly air leaky then the furnace may well be working very hard and may even be unable to meet the demand for the current temperature. You have a problem only if it continues to operate beyond the desired temperature as selected by the thermostat.
