Bob, Before we get kicked off, I've had my first dog for about a month now,
and I'm absolutely loving it!

Cheers

Alex

I'm also on my 3rd Seeing Eye dog. My first was killed in a hit and run, my
second I held while he was put to sleep at 14. But I'm sure we need to move
this off the list or we'll get sent to the corner...

Marley and Me:

This is definately off topic. Hopefully you all will forgive me.

My family and I went to see Marley and I. This was a very touching movie. I
have had Guide Dogs for about 20 or more years now.
I understand about the loyalty and love a dog will give to those he or she
considers to be their pack mates or master. When my
Daughters were little, we had a family pet German Sherpherd named Keysha.
She would always wanted to be near my Daughters when
they were playing. She would make sure they stayed in the yard. As far as
Keysha was concerned my Daughter were her pups. When I
had to discipline my Girls, Keysha would take their side.

I have had to put 2 Guide Dogs down so far. My retired Guide Karo, who is a
solid black German Shepherd, is getting up there. I
know soon, it will be her time as well.

That was a very touching movie. I would highly recommend it for those who
know and love dogs. It is easy to follow just from the
audio track. I didn't have to ask what was going on even once.

Terry
