I'm already in the corner so it doesn't matter.
I am on German Shepherd #5. We have been working together
since NOV. of 05.

Bob, Before we get kicked off, I've had my first dog for
about a month now, and I'm absolutely loving it!

Cheers

Alex

I'm also on my 3rd Seeing Eye dog. My first was killed in a
hit and run, my second I held while he was put to sleep at
14. But I'm sure we need to move this off the list or we'll
get sent to the corner...

Marley and Me:

This is definately off topic. Hopefully you all will forgive
me.

My family and I went to see Marley and I. This was a very
touching movie. I have had Guide Dogs for about 20 or more
years now. I understand about the loyalty and love a dog
will give to those he or she considers to be their pack
mates or master. When my Daughters were little, we had a
family pet German Sherpherd named Keysha. She would always
wanted to be near my Daughters when they were playing. She
would make sure they stayed in the yard. As far as Keysha
was concerned my Daughter were her pups. When I had to
discipline my Girls, Keysha would take their side.

I have had to put 2 Guide Dogs down so far. My retired Guide
Karo, who is a solid black German Shepherd, is getting up
there. I know soon, it will be her time as well.

That was a very touching movie. I would highly recommend it
for those who know and love dogs. It is easy to follow just
from the audio track. I didn't have to ask what was going on
even once.

Terry
