  Subject: [BlindHandyMan] Braille compass.

So, I ran out and purchased that Braille compass we were talking about
  last week.

Well, I've already sent it back and gotten my refund. My tests showed
that it was just unreliable. Or at least, the settling time was extreme.

I laid it flat on a level table. Let it settle. Opened the cover and it
  correctly pointed North.

I then closed the cover, rotated the unit 180 degrees, counted to ten and
opened the cover. It had barely moved so was about 150 degrees off.

I did this about 10 different times, variously rotating the unit 90 or 180
degrees. I increased my wait time to about 20 seconds. Some times it did
show North correctly. Other times it was 90 degrees or more off.

I wasn't expecting much, but I was expecting a little more than that.
