This is exactly how I wired up my quartz infrared heater. I like to have the breaker in my hand when attaching the hot red / black wires. I then snap it onto the bus. Most people, who can see, just work on the breaker when it is snapped in. I use a color identifier when I'm messing with wire.
Now, I know my box. I know where the mains come in and attach. There is an area at the top of the box, if touched, would light up your life even if the mains are off.
