Hi Debbie. our flatop is from Sears maybe 5-6 years ago. I like the
stove as I am not a clean cook. I mean often things boil over or
spills. all of which are easy cleanup with a dischloth and or
sometimes a single edge razor with a little handle. I think it is
called a widget? as for finding the burners on a flat top. well, , in
my opinion, with our stove you kind of sort of know where four burners
are after you have it. I use most of the time the left front burner
which is a big one. I put a tea kettle a lot in the wonter time on
that burner and turn it first so the dial is straight up and down. I
wait a minute and feel carefuly to see if I feel more or less heat
around the pot. so maybe i move the pot a little up or down.. as for
the multiple burners. well that is something you need to play with .
like our right front burner can be, maybe like yours a large or small
burner depends on where you turn the dial. all I can say is you need
to learn your stove and dials. as for the oven I have that sticky goo
frm a tube. I think it is orange so I know where the button is to turn
on the oven and then you know that each tap of that button is turning
the stove up or down 5 degrees at a time.. If you want other information
I can eamil you off list but each of our stoves is similar but not all
the same unless we buy the same model. I am told the gas flatips you
can feel the burners when they are cold, but not exactly sure. Lee
