if it was me I would put up a plastic barrier  around a nearby wall 
and spray straight  bleach. let it set and then clean. also  we tried 
something different  I bring in a few tabs of the  chlorine that we 
use in the swimming pool and put a half a tab at a time.  do you use 
anything Jennifer in th toliet tank like vinager or bleach? liquid 
bleach is great after all have gone to bed and  drain the tank nad 
then a full gallon of bleach as the toilet tank is filling. Lee
