Hi Terry, They do make specially formulated patching mixes, they contain some sort of acrylic which allows the cement to be feathered out very thinly and which sticks it better to the existing stock. As always, it goes on better if you scrub and wash away any loose before applying it.
Look for something labeled as a patching compound. ----- Original Message ----- From: Alan & Terrie Robbins To: Blindhandyman Sent: Monday, July 06, 2009 11:40 AM Subject: [BlindHandyMan] Sidewalk repair Well it is that time of the year again to get the weeds, grass etc out of the cracks of the sidewalk etc. As always I have cracks and missing chunks of cement to replace. In the past I simply use a sand mix (I believe that is what it is called, comes in an 80 pound bag) to patch things up. Is this the best product to use or is there something better? thanks Al [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
