I like the product Quikrete. Make sure to get the concrete mix because that is
the strongest mix. You can get it at Lowes for about $5 a bag. If available,
try the pro set version. We used that in the mortar mix and did a whole wall
with those cultured stones. That stuff is like peanut butter when it's mixed
and about as sticky. I tried other types of their mortar and some from HD and
nothing worked as well.

In the concrete mix they have the quick setting which says it will dry in about
4 hours. I use the regular and it works fine as long as we spray it while it
dries. 100 degrees will dry out anything too fast.

Subject: [BlindHandyMan] Sidewalk repair

Well it is that time of the year again to get the weeds, grass etc out of
the cracks of the sidewalk etc. As always I have cracks and missing chunks
of cement to replace. In the past I simply use a sand mix (I believe that is
what it is called, comes in an 80 pound bag) to patch things up. Is this the
best product to use or is there something better?

thanks
Al
