Can't say which one it is but one will reset it and the other will just trip it 
again if it's working.  

As long as you have power to it, push on button in and see if it sticks.  If 
not, push in the other and hopefully it will.  Otherwise the outlet is bad.

  On my front porch I have a GFI receptacle. My pump in the fountain stopped 
working, so I went to check if it got tripped. There is two buttons, it's 
been so long, I can't remember how to check to see if it's been tripped. Is 
it the top button I push in or the bottom? Mater a fact, what is the 
difference between the two buttons.
