the last time we had a problem with a sears appliance  a service tech 
came to the house. lay a laptop of soe sorts o the kitechen table and 
then went to work.  if we were to get the job done or a new one then  
they would deduct that cost of the  estimate from  the  new cost.  I 
too just passed up on  a warranty replacement for   the washer, dryer 
and refrige. we currently have one of those big  22 foot maytags sold 
by  Sears and I refuse to buy one that big again . if we cannot do 
with a 14  to 18 then they can get ice cubes or ice blocks.  . tighwad
