You may have a slight free-on leak and sometimes when you leave it unplugged for a while then plug it up, it will start running. Maybe something way in the back is iced up. I have a very nice upright freezer, and occasionally, I have to get free-on put in it, but I know eventually, I will have to dispose of it because I have been told that those leaks can grow bigger. The leak is way behind the wall where it is virtually impossible to get too. Smiles, Barbara
